Delivering in Potomac: What to Know
Our drivers dump the load right where you mark it, on your driveway or another hard surface. We deliver to hard surfaces only, not lawns or soft ground. A few more things specific to Potomac:
- Long driveways with low limbs are common off River Road and Falls Road. Tell us about clearance so the truck can lift its bed safely.
- Many Potomac homes have landscapers on site. Add their name and phone in the order notes so our driver can coordinate.
- Lawns here are big. For top-dressing a whole lawn, a quarter to half inch of compost or topsoil-compost mix is typical.

Potomac Delivery Questions
Do you deliver to North Potomac and Travilah?
Yes. We deliver across Potomac, North Potomac, Travilah, Avenel and Potomac Village.
Is kiln-dried or seasoned firewood better for my fireplace?
Kiln-dried firewood has lower moisture, so it lights faster and makes less smoke indoors. Seasoned firewood works well for outdoor fire pits.
What do Potomac customers order most?
Based on our delivery records, double shredded hardwood mulch is our most-ordered product in Potomac, followed by firewood and brown mulch. March is the busiest month here, so book early if you need a specific date.
Is delivery to Potomac really free?
Yes. We offer free delivery to Potomac and the rest of our Maryland service area. The one exception is white decorative stone, which has a $150 delivery fee shown on the product page and at checkout. Any order minimums are shown at checkout before you pay.
How fast can you deliver?
We try to deliver the next business day, Monday through Friday, and you can pick a later date at checkout. We don't guarantee a specific time of day, so add clear drop instructions in your order notes (for example, "left side of the driveway").
How are your products sold?
Mulch, topsoil, compost and wood chips are sold by the cubic yard. Stone, gravel and sand are sold by the ton. Firewood is sold by the cord. Minimum orders are 5 cubic yards for mulch and compost, 1 cubic yard for topsoil, and 1 ton for stone and sand.
