Our drivers dump the load where you mark it, on your driveway or another hard surface. We deliver to hard surfaces only, not lawns or soft ground. A few more things specific to Reston:
- Reston Association has design review for exterior changes in many clusters. Mulching existing beds is routine; check before adding new hardscape.
- Cluster parking lots are shared. Mark your space or pad and note it at checkout.
- Under mature trees, add compost or topsoil-compost mix on top instead of digging through roots.

Our Virginia office is in Centreville, about 20 minutes away. It's an office, not a pickup yard; every order is delivered.
What's best for shady beds under big trees?
Leaf mulch compost or a thin layer of topsoil-compost mix, then 2 to 3 inches of mulch kept away from trunks.
Is delivery to Reston really free?
Yes. Delivery is free to Reston and the rest of our Virginia service area. The one exception is white decorative stone, which has a $150 delivery fee shown on the product page and at checkout.
How fast can you deliver?
We try to deliver the next business day, Monday through Friday, and you can pick a later date at checkout. We don't guarantee a time of day, so add clear drop instructions in your order notes (for example, "left side of the driveway").
How are your products sold?
Mulch, topsoil, compost and wood chips are sold by the cubic yard. Stone, gravel and sand are sold by the ton. Firewood is sold by the cord. Minimum orders are 5 cubic yards for mulch and compost, 1 cubic yard for topsoil, and 1 ton for stone and sand.
