Landscapers, builders, schools, churches, HOAs and parks departments order truckloads from us every season. Here is how we handle larger and tax-exempt orders.
Landscapers and contractors
- Volume pricing: Prices are listed on every product page, and the more you buy, the less you pay per yard or ton. Enter your ZIP code to see your delivered price.
- Multiple loads: We can schedule a series of loads to one job site.
Schools, daycares and playgrounds
- Playground Mulch is certified for use under play equipment. Playground Wood Chips are not certified.
- Most playgrounds need 9 to 12 inches of mulch under equipment. Use our calculator to work out how many yards you need.
- Order early. Playground mulch can sell out in spring.
Churches, HOAs, parks and other tax-exempt groups
- Tax-exempt orders: Send us your tax-exempt form, then call to place your order. We apply the exemption over the phone.
- Large common-area jobs: HOAs and churches often order 40 to 90 yards for one cleanup. We can spread it over several deliveries, and split a load between drop points on the same street within five houses.
- Volunteer workdays: Order for the day before your workday, so the material is waiting.

Every price is on the website, so you can order any time without waiting for a quote.

Tax-exempt organizations are the one exception. Send your form, then call us to place the order: VA 703-999-2624 or MD 410-618-9177.
What is not included: We deliver only. We do not spread, install or haul material away, but we can pass along names of local installers. See the delivery FAQ for minimums, delivery days and drop rules.
