Mulch is an excellent way to reduce maintenance and conserve moisture. Mulching controls unwanted weeds, helps to prevent soil erosion and enriches the soil with nutrients for better growth. Finally, all landscape products will give your home or business a fresh, decorative and appealing look all season long.

Red Oak, White Oak, Hickory, Maple, and sometimes Mulburry.

It really boils down to personal preference. Start by asking yourself a few questions, such as what color of mulch would look best against my home or business, or what texture or consistency am I looking for? For the most part, all mulches will suppress weed growth, conserve moisture and give your home a decorative look. At this point you need to decide if you want a finer mulch—like leaf mulch, that can decompose into the landscape faster—versus a coarse mulch, that will last longer. Or do you want something that has long-lasting color like a dyed mulch? No mulch is better than another, you should pick the mulch that looks and works best for your use.

Absolutely! Our dyed mulch is made with non-toxic colorants that are processed using color safe technology. This colorant is completely safe for shrubs, plants, pets, and children. Some of the same materials used to make the colorant are the same materials used commonly in lipsticks, cosmetics and food containers.

We recommend giving the dyed mulch 24-48 hours of drying or curing time in the landscape beds before watering or heavy rainfall to prevent mulch discoloration. Dyed mulch may take a little more TLC in the beginning, but the color will look great throughout the whole season.

Underneath every solid patio is a strong foundation. Common base materials include some kind of aggregate (we recommend 21/A) and coarse sand (we recommend mason sand). Please use our product calculator available on every products page.

Sorry. We do not have any retail locations. This allows Mulch and Stone to offer our customers wholesale prices and free delivery to your home or business.

No. Most deliveries are made to customers that are not home. We will deliver and place your product in the driveway, and will give you a courtesy call 15-30 minutes before delivery. Please make sure that all vehicles are moved out of the driveway or garages before the driver arrives. The driver will need at least two parking spaces wide (12-14 feet) to dump product.
